Can I tow?
Yes, some of our vans are fitted with tow bars and they are capable of towing, for example a luggage trailer, a small boat, a trailer tent or a horsebox. Please contact us if you intend to tow so that we can ensure that the Campervan reserved for you has a towbar and also advise on any practical or safety issues.  Also please be aware that while our insurance will cover you for towing it doesn’t cover the thing you are towing.  If your trailer (or the contents) is damaged or stolen during your holiday this is at your own risk so we advise that you arrange your own cover for this.
What’s a Driveaway Awning?
It’s an awning which, once erected, stays on your pitch for the duration of your stay at a campsite – allowing you to “drive away” for day trips in your Campervan. It gives you some useful additional storage space and means you don’t have to pack everything up every time you want to move the van.
What age do I have to be?
To be able to hire the van and be a driver you need to be between 25 and 70. The insurers rules not ours!
Can I take the Campervan out of the UK?
No, our insurance means that the van must stay in the UK.
Can I take my dog?
Yes, we’re dog lovers ourselves so we know that being able to take your pooch on holiday with you is important and we allow dogs in 2 of our vans. Please do let us know in advance if you want to bring a dog as we’ll ensure you are allocated one of our “dog” vans. There will be an additional damage deposit of £50 though (refunded if your pet behaves him or herself) and a small additional cleaning charge of £5 per dog. We do ask that you please respect people who may object to or even have allergies relating to dogs – we keep one of our vans as a completely dog-free environment for these customers so this van would not be available to you if you arrive with a dog in tow.
Will I be able to drive the Campervan?
One of the great things about our Campervans, in comparison to say a Motorhome or a Touring caravan that you have to tow, is that if you can drive a manual car you can almost certainly handle our boys without undue stress or the need for any additional driving skills. They are no wider than an average family car so fit easily on most UK roads, can handle the tightest of hairpin bends and the steepest of hills. And you can still park them in the supermarket car park!
How will I know how everything works?
We’ll give you a comprehensive demonstration of everything before you set out, and you’ll also have a handbook explaining all of the equipment with you on your holiday. In the unlikely event that you still can’t work something out we’re only a phone call away.
What if the Campervan breaks down?
All of our vans are covered by breakdown and recovery contracts. You’ll have 24 hour numbers with you should they be needed – we hope they won’t as our vans are nearly new and fully serviced.

What’s included in the hire cost?
Quite a lot – most of which comes as standard, but you have the option to add some extras too. Please see the “What’s Included” part of the website for full lists. Please get in touch if you think we’ve missed an essential!
Why does the Campervan have 5 travelling seats when it can only sleep 4?
That’s how many seats and seat belts there are available for passengers to travel legally in the van. If you really need to be able to accommodate 5 people there are a couple of options available to you. We do have a small one-man tent suitable to pitch alongside your van, which can be hired as an extra. Alternatively there is a means to convert the front cab seats into a bed for a small child – we ask that you contact us if this is required so that we can discuss whether this is suitable for you.
How do I find places to camp?
On-line is always a good place to start, where several good websites exist giving you the option to search for campsites by area. Individual campsites often also have good websites themselves. See our Useful Links page for some examples.
Could you collect us from a local station?
We are happy to collect our customers from local stations in the Skipton area – or even help to arrange transport from mainline stations or airports in Leeds or Manchester. Please do contact us for advice or look at our Useful Links page for more information.
How many people can drive the Campervan?
There would generally be one named driver for the hire period. It is possible to add a second driver for a small additional charge of £25. Every driver must provide identification and proof of address documents when collecting the Campervan.
Is insurance included in the cost?
Yes it is as long as you meet the criteria we give as part of our booking process. If there are special circumstances, please let us know if you fall outside the standard criteria we give for our insurance as it may be possible to still offer you cover if you are prepared to meet an additional charge.
Is there a minimum hire period?
Yes, in high season (June, July August) the minimum hire period is a week. Outside of this time shorter breaks are possible – please see the “Booking” section of this website for details of Weekend and Weekday breaks along with pick up and drop off times.
